Fantasy NFL Draft Picks by Round - Drafting 9th or 10th

The fantasy NFL draft picks by round outlined in this article are based on the following:

12 team fantasy football league
Drafting 9th or drafting 10th
Serpentine draft order(owner that drafts last in round 1 picks first in round 2)
Typical fantasy scoring system that includes TDs and yardage.
        Rushing or receiving TD - 6 pts
        Passing TD - 4 pts
        Rushing and receiving yards - 1 pt every 10 yards
        Passing yards - 1 pt every 25 yards
        Starting lineup requirement of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1
        team D, and 1 K.

Please keep in mind that even with these detailed round by round
fantasy NFL draft picks, you should follow your tiered fantasy value rankings that are driven by how many teams are in your league, your weekly fantasy football starting lineup requirements, and your fantasy league's scoring system. Your main goal in reading these fantasy NFL draft picks is to understand the thought process that I go through each round. You will then be able to develop a thought process geared towards your fantasy football league's rules and scoring system. Notice I weigh my options each round, and then I consider the effect each option will have on the rest of the fantasy draft.

Fantasy NFL draft - Round 1
Draft a stud RB if available.

If stud RBs are gone, take a stud WR or 2nd tier RB.

Fantasy NFL draft picks - Round 2
If you took a WR in the first round, take a RB in rounds 2 & 3.

If you took a RB in the first round, take either a stud WR or 2nd tier RB in round 2.

Fantasy NFL draft by round - Round 3
If you took a stud WR in the first or second round, take a RB in round 3.

If you took RBs in the first and second rounds, take a WR or stud QB in round 3.

Fantasy NFL draft picks by round - Round 4
If you don't have a WR yet, take one now.

If you don't have a QB yet, take a stud QB if still available. Otherwise take a WR.

Fantasy NFL draft - Rounds 5 & 6
You have 2 options if you don't have a QB at this point:


Take a 2nd tier QB in round 5 and then either a WR or stud TE in round 6.

Take a WR or stud TE in round 5 and then a platoon QB in round 6.

If you do already have a QB at this point, then take 2 WRs or take a WR & stud TE. Use your tiered fantasy value rankings to guide you.

Fantasy NFL draft picks - Rounds 7 & 8
If you still need both a starting WR and platoon QB, take them here. Use your tiered fantasy value rankings to guide you.

If you still need a starting WR or platoon QB, take one here along with a reserve RB. Use your tiered fantasy value rankings as a guide.

Fantasy NFL draft picks by round - Rounds 9 & higher
